Editorial policy
What goes on this site, where it comes from, and what we never do.
Sources
- Doses, strengths and approved uses: only the FDA label (DailyMed SPL or openFDA), copied word for word, with the label's set ID, version and date, linked to the section.
- Insurance and program rules: only CMS, Medicare.gov, state Medicaid program pages, the makers' official insurance and savings pages, and insurers' published policy documents.
- Prices: only official listings (the makers' self-pay programs and their listings on TrumpRx.gov). Every price shows the date we checked it, whether it is the medicine only, its conditions and end dates, and a link to the official page.
- Plain-English sentences only restate what the official text says. Each one has a numbered note pointing to the official sentence it comes from. If the official text does not say it, we do not write it.
What we never do
- Give medical advice, or say which drug, dose, or switch is right for anyone.
- Write about side effects, diet, or how well drugs work.
- List or recommend compounded or unapproved drugs, or the companies that sell them.
- Repeat marketing claims from any company (for example "same ingredient as" a brand, or a headline monthly price that leaves out the medicine).
- Publish made-up reviews, testimonials or user stories.
- Use drug makers' logos or brand artwork, or present ourselves as a drug maker or a government agency.
When something changes
We keep dated copies of the official pages. When a label, rule or price changes, the affected pages are flagged and a person checks the change against the official page before the site is updated. Prices are never updated automatically. Changes are listed in the price change log; mistakes in the corrections log.
